The installation of hook-side screens can be up-hanging or down-hanging. In the past, the screens of oilfield drilling fluid vibrating screens were mostly down-hanging, or moved back and forth against a group of support rods? (Figure 7.15). These support rods divert the drilling fluid flowing on the sieve surface. However, in this way, the solid phase is occasionally stuck under the rubber rod during field tests.
Some linear vibrating screens use top-hanging screens (Figure 7.16). The screens can be moved from the top to the bottom of the vibrating bed to provide the largest screen area for the solid phase. The current vibrating screen design increases the number of supporting beams under the screen surface in order to support a thinner screen to reduce the possibility of the screen surface forming a wave shape and provide the necessary tension to the screen. However, this design will encounter the situation where the fluid leaves the high part of the screen surface and diverges to both sides of the screen during the experiment.
